2. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you agree to:

Illegal Activities: Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activities, including identity theft or misrepresentation
Interference: Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Circumvention: Attempt to bypass any security measures or access controls

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates these provisions.

Our Property

The Service, including all content, features, AI models, algorithms, user interface designs, and underlying technology, is owned by Job Booster and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all original content you submit to the Service, including your resumes, cover letters, job notes, and personal information. By using our Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing you with our services.

5. AI-Powered Features & Disclaimers

⚠️ No Guarantee of Accuracy — Waiver of Reliance

Our AI-generated content, including tailored resumes, cover letters, job match insights, and career recommendations, is provided “AS-IS” without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. AI systems may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information (“hallucinations”).

You acknowledge that you must independently verify all AI-generated content before using it in any professional context. You assume full responsibility for reviewing and editing any output.

⚠️ No Employment Guarantee

Job Booster is a career assistance tool, not an employment agency. Using our Service does not guarantee job offers, interviews, or any specific employment outcomes. Your success depends on many factors beyond our control, including job market conditions, your qualifications, and employer decisions.

Third-Party AI Providers

To deliver our AI-powered features, your data may be processed by the following third-party providers:

OpenAI: For resume parsing, tailoring, and AI-generated insights. Subject to OpenAI's Terms of Use.
Tavily: For real-time job market research and company intelligence. Subject to Tavily's Terms of Service.

By using our AI features, you consent to the processing of your data by these third-party providers in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.

6. Privacy & Regulatory Compliance

CCPA Compliance (2026)

Sensitive Personal Information: We collect and process Sensitive Personal Information (as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2026) only with your explicit consent and solely for the purposes disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
No Dark Patterns: Our interface is designed to be transparent and user-friendly. We do not employ “dark patterns” or deceptive design practices that manipulate users into unintended actions, including subscription traps or confusing cancellation flows.

7. Subscriptions & Billing

Subscription Plans

Job Booster offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions provide access to premium features as described on our pricing page.

Billing & Renewal

Automatic Renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payment Methods: Payments are processed securely through Stripe (for web) or via Apple App Store / Google Play Store (for mobile apps). Your payment information is handled by these third-party payment processors and is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' prior notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of your initial subscription purchase. To request a refund within this period, contact us at support@myjobbooster.com.

Refunds for subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to their respective refund policies and must be requested directly through those platforms.

8. Limitation of Liability

Liability Cap

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Job Booster's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Exclusions

We shall not be liable for any:

Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill
Service interruptions, delays, or downtime
Data loss or corruption (we perform daily backups via Supabase, but this does not guarantee complete data recovery)
Actions or content of third-party services integrated with our platform

No Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your Account Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Our Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, with or without notice, for any of the following reasons:

Violation of these Terms or any applicable laws
Non-payment of subscription fees
Fraudulent, abusive, or suspicious activity
Extended periods of inactivity
Any conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to other users or the Service

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your license to use the Service terminates immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) shall survive.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Venue

Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Volusia County, Florida (Port Orange). You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.
