Cursor + Job Booster

1. Add the Job Booster server URL to .cursor/mcp.json or Cursor Settings → MCP.
2. Complete browser OAuth when Cursor requests authentication.
3. In Agent mode, call get_resume_list before edit_resume.
4. See Settings → Developer for API key fallbacks.

OAuth sign-in is recommended. Developer API keys from Settings → Developer work for clients that cannot open the browser consent flow. Confirm with you before delete_resume, set_application_status, or other mutating tools that change your pipeline.

Ask the agent to summarize planned changes before calling write tools. Job Booster MCP does not submit job applications on employer sites without you using the product’s apply flows—agents help you search, tailor, and track.

Is Job Booster preinstalled in ChatGPT or Claude?

No. Add Job Booster as a custom MCP connector and sign in with OAuth when the client opens the consent flow. We do not ship a marketplace directory listing.

Will the agent apply to jobs without asking me?

MCP helps you search, tailor resumes, track applications, and draft documents. Submitting applications on employer ATS sites still goes through Job Booster flows you control. Confirm before set_application_status or delete_resume.

Can agents read my entire inbox or LinkedIn?

Tools only access data in your Job Booster account—resumes, saved jobs, applications, radar companies, and related intel—not your unrelated email or social passwords.

Do I need an API key?

OAuth is preferred in interactive clients. Settings → Developer provides API keys for headless scripts that cannot open the browser login.
