Common questions and fixes for the Job Booster Chrome Extension.

How do I connect the extension?

Go to Settings → Extension Setup and generate your API key. In the extension, click the ⚙️ icon and paste the key in Settings.

The extension says “Unauthorized”

Make sure your API key is saved in extension settings and matches the latest key from the Job Booster Settings page.

Save Job to Board fails or returns empty fields

Some pages block content scripts or load data dynamically. Try scrolling, waiting for the page to fully load, or manually editing the fields before saving.

Save to Job Booster fails

Verify your API is reachable (e.g., correct host permissions in the extension) and that the server is running. Check your CLIPPER_SECRET and API key in your environment settings.

How do I update the extension?

Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, and click “Reload” for the Job Booster Clipper.
